Access keys are keyboard shortcuts which help users navigate a website without having to use a mouse. They can be used as a speedy alternative method of navigation but are crucial to users with motoric disabilities.
Using access keys depends on the type of browser you are using—

- Press ALT + required letter
- Release the keys
- Press ENTER
- Netscape Navigator
- Press ALT + required letter
- Release the keys
- Macintosh
- Substitute the CTRL key for the ALT key
